The Michigan Music Awards is a non-profit organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting Michigan's vibrant music scene. Led by a team of seasoned music industry professionals with years of experience in recording, live shows, media, label operations, and management, our mission is simple: to unite Michigan's diverse music community and honor the incredible talent that the state has to offer.
Through our annual awards, we recognize and celebrate original music across a wide range of genres, including Pop, Rap/Hip-Hop, R&B, Blues, Rock, Metal, Country, Americana, Bluegrass, Gospel/Contemporary Christian, Electronic, Latin/International, Classical/Theater, and Jazz. We believe Michigan is home to some of the greatest musicians in the world, and it is our goal to highlight their artistry, hard work, and dedication.
The Michigan Music Awards are peer-voted, giving artists and industry professionals the power to recognize their peers, with special awards selected by a panel of experts from the music industry. In addition to celebrating music, we also honor individuals and organizations that help promote and elevate Michigan's original music scene.
Beyond the awards, the Michigan Music Awards is committed to fostering growth within the local music community through events, educational opportunities, and networking throughout the year. These programs offer voting members direct access to industry professionals, helping them build relationships and gain valuable insights into the music business.
At the heart of the Michigan Music Awards is a belief that original music should be celebrated and that the musicians, creators, and innovators of Michigan deserve recognition for their contributions to the cultural fabric of the state and beyond.
Join us as we continue to amplify Michigan's music scene, celebrate talent, and work together to build a stronger, more connected music community.
